Trieste, 7 luglio 2017 – Si è svolta oggi presso lo stabilimento di Marghera la cerimonia per il taglio lamiera della terza nave della classe “Vista” che Fincantieri sta costruendo per Carnival Cruise Line, brand del Gruppo Carnival Corporation la cui consegna è prevista nell’autunno 2019.
La nuova unità sarà gemella di “Carnival Vista”, consegnata a Monfalcone nell’aprile 2016, e di “Carnival Horizon”, attualmente in costruzione nello stesso cantiere di Marghera con consegna prevista per l’inizio del 2018.
133.500 tonnellate di stazza lorda e 323 metri di lunghezza, sono queste le dimensioni che caratterizzano la serie “Vista”, che annovera le unità più grandi finora costruite da Fincantieri per la flotta di Carnival Cruise Line. Conterà ben 1.987 cabine, alle quali si sommano le 761 destinate all’equipaggio, potendo così ospitare a bordo oltre 6.500 persone, tra passeggeri ed equipaggio.

Le unità della classe “Vista” rappresentano un nuovo punto di riferimento tecnologico a livello europeo e mondiale per il lay-out innovativo, le elevatissime performance e l’alta qualità di soluzioni tecniche d’avanguardia. Gli allestimenti degli interni sono caratterizzati da un elevatissimo livello di comfort, proponendo una vasta gamma di intrattenimenti, ristoranti oltre che teatri, negozi e centri benessere. Anche questa nave come le precedenti della classe è caratterizzata dalla presenza dell’area Havana, un’area a tema, ristretta ed esclusiva, composta da cabine, bar all’aperto e Infinity Pool, a cui potranno accedere, durante il giorno, solamente i passeggeri che alloggiano in quella zona.
Dal 1990 ad oggi Fincantieri ha costruito 78 navi da crociera (di cui ben 55 dal 2002), altre 31 unità sono in costruzione o di prossima realizzazione negli stabilimenti del gruppo.

WORKS START IN MARGHERA ON THE THIRD “VISTA” CLASS UNIT FOR CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE
Trieste, July, 7 2017 – The steel cutting ceremony of the third “Vista” class cruise ship, which Fincantieri is buildingforCarnival Cruise Line, a brand under Carnival Corporation & plc, the world’s largest cruise operator, took place today at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Marghera. She will be delivered in autumn 2019.
The new unit will be a sister ship of “Carnival Vista”, delivered in Monfalcone in April, 2016, as well as of “Carnival Horizon”, also currently under construction at the shipyard in Marghera with delivery scheduled at the beginning of 2018.
At 133,500 gross tons and 323 meters long: these are the figures of the “Vista” class, whichincludes the largest ships that Fincantieri has ever built for the Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet. She will have 1,987 passenger cabins added up to the 761 of the crew, being able to accommodate more than 6,500 people onboard, including staff.
The units of the “Vista” class are a new technological benchmark, in Europe and worldwide, in terms of cutting-edge layout, extremely high performance and high quality technical solutions. The interior fittings are of an extremely high level quality comfort, offering a wide range of onboard entertainments, restaurants, theatres, shops and wellness centers. On this ship as on the previous ones of the “Vista” class, there will be the Havana Area, a themed private and exclusive area, with cabins, open bars and an Infinity Pool. The access to this area is limited, during the day, only to those passengers whose cabins are in the Havana Area.
Fincantieri has built 78 cruise ships since 1990 (of which 55 from 2002) and other 31 ships are currently being designed or built in the Group’s yards.
